Andrea Cohan was admitted to practice law in 1995. She practiced family law until she became a full-time Guardian Ad Litem, exclusively for family cases, and was appointed by the Court to aid in the determination of what was in the best interests of the children. Mrs. Cohan has attended and aided in numerous mediations as both an attorney and as the Guardian Ad Litem, which provides her with unique skills as a Mediator. Mrs. Cohan is certified by the Florida Supreme Court in family mediation and is currently focused exclusively on the mediation of family cases. Andrea Cohan mediates all areas of family law cases. She provides services to those who are both unrepresented and represented by counsel. Mrs. Cohan welcomes those that have already filed their case with the Court along with those who have not yet filed. She is a proactive mediator who looks to promote the empowerment of the parties to take charge of the future of their family and make decisions among themselves instead of having their family’s outcome determined by the Court. Mrs. Cohan’s goal as a mediator is to aid the parties in coming to a mutually acceptable and voluntary solution for the benefit of themselves and their family.
