Nir has 13 years experience in information security, including executive experience setting company strategy, driving execution, building new products and bringing them to market. While at Imperva, Nir set the company product strategy and launched and managed the worldwide services organization. Nir also held engineering positions at Adjungo Networks (acquired by Flash Networks) and Shopping.com (acquired by eBay). He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in computer sciences from The Interdisciplinary Center in Israel. VP Products & Co-founder Sylvain brings 15 years of experience in building, deploying and supporting information security products for large and medium enterprises. Previously, Sylvain held senior-level roles at Imperva where he led product management and product marketing for application security, as well as Imperva’s worldwide customer support and professional services organization. Sylvain also led North American technical support and services for Solsoft (acquired by LogLogic). Sylvain has a software engineering degree from the Leonard de Vinci school of Melun, France. In 2006, Shlomo was selected by Network World magazine as one of 20 luminaries who changed the network industry. He is the founder and CEO of Cato Networks and previously was founder and CEO of Imperva. Prior to founding Imperva, he co-founded Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. in 1993. At Check Point, he served in various executive roles and as a member of the board of directors through 2003. While at Check Point, Shlomo played a key role in defining and creating several category-defining products and solutions, including FireWall-1, VPN-1, FloodGate-1, Check Point’s OPSEC alliance, and Check Point’s security appliance program. Matt has over 25 years of experience in marketing, product management, engineering, business development, and sales in a wide range of technologies. Theresia was founding VP of Business Development & Sales at Release Software, a venture-backed company that provided SaaS to enable digital rights management and payment technologies for the software industry. She also worked at Bain & Company and as a product manager at Silicon Graphics. Theresia holds a ScB in Engineering from Brown University, magna cum laude, and an MBA from Stanford University. Jeb joined Icon Ventures in 2009 as a General Partner, bringing 15+ years of experience working with early-stage technology companies as a venture capitalist, operating executive and investment banker. He also serves as a consultant to the Defense Venture Catalyst Initiative program of the US Department of Defense. His prior experience includes senior executive roles at Morgan Stanley Technology Ventures, ComVentures, Worldview Technology Partners, and the Carlyle Group. Jeb gained his operational experience as Managing Director of Business Development for Scient, a pioneering Internet consulting firm. Ravi is a Founder and Partner of Lightspeed and focuses on investments in enterprise IT, mobility, and Internet and cloud-based services and applications. Ravi has 17 years of venture capital experience and before entering venture capital he ran a product management group at Silicon Graphics and also worked in management consulting at Booz Allen and as a software engineer for BDIS, a Silicon Valley biotech instruments manufacturer. The major internet companies and service providers already collect encyclopedias of user data, but there's also a wealth of information stored locally in a user's web browser. That data can include a variety of personal information that is valuable to criminals, and it's there for the taking, according to a report released by Exabeam , a security intelligence company. "All of a sudden I know where you go, at what time, what you're buying," said Barry Shteiman, director of research at Exabeam. "I know a lot of things that I, the attacker, should not know about you. It’s credit card-level information." Perhaps even more alarming, Exabeam said, researchers were able to recover some bank account numbers that were used to send money to other banks. "Understanding someone's web browser history is one way to understand what they are thinking about, which is awesome and terrifying at the same time," said Ryan Benson, senior threat researcher at Exabeam.
