That was the response from the private school owner as she raised the price to nearly $100,000 for our two children. Much like the industry we had come to experience, the price just keeps going up and up. We began wondering "what do normal people do in our situation? We understand the world owes us nothing. So we did what any fool hardy parents would do and used the budget to start our own school.  In September 2010, the Ewing School was formed to facilitate the education of our two children that are, and for lack of a better label, in the autistic spectrum. We are funded privately but our progress is monitored according to state standards via annual review. We developed a new approach in 2014 and the results are both exciting and quantifiable. Working with Italic Systems and vetting some crazy ideas, a methodology has been developed that has revolutionised the students progress and recovery for ASD. We are a beta test site for the system and it will launch in the fall of 2015.
