Hello! My name is Kendall Evans and I am the creator of Evans Behavior Solutions. Since as far back as I can remember I have always had a fascination with people and knowing why it is that they do the things that they do. Within my own family and close community I’ve observed that a loved one can be born with a disability or they can develop a habit or attitude that greatly effects themselves and those around them. Rather it be Autism, learning disabilities, unhealthy eating and living habits, or substance abuse the behavior of the loved one can put intense strain on those in their family and community. As a result the loved one and their family may be crippled by mounting stress, disagreements and embarrassment. I saw first hand how a lack of professional intervention can then lead the loved one and their family to isolation and social withdrawal. I watched families be torn apart as the people fell into depression, anxiety and helplessness. This broke my heart because I knew that if these people had received the help and support that they needed early on, then they may have had a better chance at being able to thrive. Many times these issues were a result of lack of resources and knowledge and simply just ‘now knowing what to do’. My heart has always been set on healing and I dedicated my life studies to ‘knowing what to do’ in these situations. I received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis and then became Board Certified as a Behavior Analyst. I’ve spent almost 10 years as a therapist working directly with families and teachers who need help supporting their loved ones and students with Autism and other learning,intellectual and mental conditions. Over the years, I have developed my own holistic 3 tier approach where I assess the whole-person when developing an intervention. I look at the relationships between the individuals, I look at the food, chemicals, medications and overall heath of the individual, and lastly I assess the state in which the caretaker is in. I take this information and formulate a research supported and data driven plan to help families reach their life enhancing goals. My mission is to help you make lasting positive changes that improve wellness and overall life quality.
