The Erwin Family business began like ​so many small business – with lots of ambition, a good amount of technical know-how and a willingness to do whatever it takes to make it happen. What we lacked in fancy office space or vehicles we made up for with hard work and determination. Our goal was to grow the company and be the best electrical contractor in our industry. Our 1st office wasn’t pretty! Affectionately named “The Shed” it had enough room for 2 desks, a couple of phones and not much else. But Erwin Electric grew quickly and we became a well known and respected electrical contractor in Pinellas, Hillsborough and Pasco counties. Within just a few years our staff had grown from 2 to 25 employees and we purchased our 1st commercial office building in Clearwater. Around this time construction was BOOMING and we continued to hire estimators, office staff and electricians. It wasn’t long before we were again in need of a larger facility. In 2007 we purchased the building that we are currently in. It was also around this time that Robin successfully earned her Electrical Master’s License!
