ENCO, LLC, Pembroke Park

About ENCO ENCO’s heritage began in 1983 by providing computer based process control for critical industrial applications. Building on our expertise in automation technology and an in-depth understanding of challenges faced by television and radio broadcasters, we focused on applying computer based automation to broadcasting. ENCO adopted the concepts of computer controlled automation found in high tech factories and applied them to the broadcast studio. In 1991, ENCO’s first digital audio delivery system, DAD, replaced error prone manual CART systems commonly used to sequence and play audio content. DAD increased flexibility and productivity for broadcasters and enabled trouble free automated formats that could run for an hour, or for days without intervention. Today ENCO delivers world class broadcast solutions to thousands of television and radio broadcasters on six continents. Our solutions range from large multinational radio and television broadcast applications to the needs of the small market or community radio or television station. We bring our customers flexible solutions that improve workflows and increase efficiency, while delivering exceptional value, performance and reliability. Today’s technological pace is astounding.  Now and for the foreseeable future, broadcasters face increasing demand to compete in new places, and the need to readily embrace new technologies and media. We maintain our competitive advantage through constant innovation and adapting to the needs of the ever-changing broadcast landscape.  Pair this with amazing customer service and it’s no wonder that the largest broadcasters in the world rely on ENCO. We back all of our products with 24/7 live emergency support and a comprehensive online knowledge base. RadiOhio Virtualizes Automation Core with ENCO “On a purely operational level, ENCO1 eliminated the performance issues we were having with keyboard, mouse and touchscreen responsiveness across the KVM architecture,” said Greg Armstrong, Director of Engineering for WBNS-AM-FM, RadiOhio. “But the beauty of what ENCO1 offers is complete duplication of our automation operation across the entire facility, due to a fully redundant, fault-tolerant server. And we envision a considerable long-term cost savings given the longer life span and lower replacement costs of a thin client versus hardware-based workstations. ENCO appears to be well ahead of the curve in terms of virtualizing radio automation.” GPB Automates Workflow With ENCO "I worked in commercial radio for 30-some years before coming here and have used several automation systems. I have been very happy with the capabilities that DAD provides over the years, from general playlist creation to the more advanced capabilities of version 15. They offer quality software and excellent customer support. Most important, they have accommodated everything we have needed in an automation system to make our lives easier across the network.” – Tom Barclay, Radio Operations Manager, Georgia Public Broadcasting "ENCO brings a lot of value by helping us operate a truly worldwide platform, instead of forcing DJs into the studio. As our DJs can open any web browser to achieve voice tracking for broadcasts, we see this is a truly game-changing application in the radio automation universe.” – John Halterman, President of Operations, Dash Radio RadiOhio Virtualizes Automation Core with ENCO “On a purely operational level, ENCO1 eliminated the performance issues we were having with keyboard, mouse and touchscreen responsiveness across the KVM architecture,” said Greg Armstrong, Director of Engineering for WBNS-AM-FM, RadiOhio. “But the beauty of what ENCO1 offers is complete duplication of our automation operation across the entire facility, due to a fully redundant, fault-tolerant server.
