Most of our horses are rescues which we have acquired through various sources. We are actively looking for sponsors to share in the cost of maintaining these animals. During the recent storms more than 4 acres of our pasture flooded. We need volunteers to help us work on our drainage culverts so that the animals can stay high and dry. Our programs require a variety of equipment depending on the specific activity. Your donations will help people to have opportunities that they might otherwise miss. Provide children and their families with the opportunity for physical activity, being part of a group, learning skills, and substantial time away from “negative recreation” (drugs, violence or sexual activities). We provide therapeutic riding lessons in group and individual formats to special needs individuals through our partnership with Horse Sense and Sensitivity (http://horsesensejax.org). Our riders face a variety of challenges including Down syndrome, autism, visual impairment, physical and mental developmental delay, anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder etc. Therapeutic riding provides the opportunity to improve multiple things simultaneously including balance, strength, and coordination.
