My name is Glade Peterson. I started Empire Pest Defense because I enjoy working with people and wanted to put my knowledge of pest control to good use. “I got into pest control during my college years. Basically it paid for all my schooling. During the summer months I would earn school money working for different pest control companies selling pest control. After I graduated from Boise State University with a B.A. in Accounting I went to work doing taxes for a larger real-estate company. I worked many long hours until I decided that the best decision I could make for my family would be to go into business for myself doing something that I know well, something I am good at and something that allows me to be home when the sun goes down. I have been able to apply both my accounting skills as well as my pest control knowledge to my business and have also found a way to work closely with my wife and family. I have worked in three different states acquiring a vast knowledge of the ins and outs of pest control. I have taken several training classes and I continue today to further my education with current up to date courses on the latest treatments and methods out there. I recently took a course in lawn management. I really enjoy learning about new treatments, especially new developments in Green Pest Control. I know my training will help me provide you with the best service possible. Because my wife and I traveled to Florida from a small town in Idaho were we grew up, we really enjoy bringing a friendly small town feel to our work here.
