Since our inception in 1978, Emory has become a leading Electrical Contractor in the Southeast. The company continues to grow through repeat business. Our company’s strong financial position allows us to bond single projects over $20M. Our bonding program is provided by Westfield Insurance Company of Ohio. Emory Electric was established in 1978 by Wilburn Emory, Jr. After many years of working with area Electrical Contractors, he decided to form his own company. Junior found his niche in Residential and small Commercial construction work. During the early years, his son Tim kept the company books while attending college. In that time, Junior earned the reputation of being able to meet ambitious schedules while keeping the client’s budget intact. Upon Tim’s graduation in 1984, he joined the company full-time. With Tim’s leadership, the company decided to pursue larger projects focusing more on the Commercial and Industrial markets. Emory experienced tremendous growth during the late 80’s and early 90’s, and quickly became a regional force in the market.
