Emmaus Baptist College, Inc., is a non-profit higher education institution with a rich history dating back to its founding in October 1954 as the Florida Baptist Institute and Seminary at First Missionary Baptist Church of Auburndale. As an accredited member of the American Baptist Association of Theological Schools, it upholds a distinct Baptist tradition while being exempt from State of Florida governmental oversight under statutory provisions (Florida Statute 1005.06(1)(f)).
