Realizing that the number of Vizsla enthusiasts in north Florida was growing, the time came for us to start our own club. Many of the Vizsla owners in this region were individuals who had never gone to an AKC event hosted by other clubs due to the great distance of travel. We are excited to be able to bring AKC events to this area as well as the surrounding states of AL, MS, GA and LA. Our goal is to encourage and support Vizlsa owners to become involved and excited about all the fun activities they can enjoy with their special Vizsla companions and to get to know other Vizsla owners. Promote and provide Vizsla events sanctioned by the AKC: Conformation, Obedience, Hunt Tests, Field Trials, Agility, and Educational Events that bring members together in order to continue to develop the breed. The Emerald Coast Vizsla Club supports the Vizsla Club of America's Code of Ethics. + not breed, sell, consign puppies or adult dogs to pet shops or other commercial ventures such as lotteries or raffles + sell any puppy which will not be used for breeding on Limited Registration from AKC The Vizsla is inordinately happy. They dont have “good" days or “bad" days like you or I might have. They wake up tail-wagging happy, ready to seize the day and make every minute count. Vizslas have an indescribable capacity for unconditional love. Vizslas want to be with their owners 24/7. Not just on a timetable, not just when things are exciting, not just when the mood strikes them. Appropriately, they are called the "Velcro" dogs, because they want to be with us all the time. Placed outside with four other dogs, they wait persistently at the door, lined up one by one to come back inside. They lick the dishes in the dishwasher when we are tidying up after dinner.
