According to Florida Statute 627.736 patients only have 14 days to seek medical help and file a claim with their insurance after suffering an injury in a motor vehicle accident. Personal Injury Protection benefits are limited to $2,500 if patient’s are not found to be suffering from an Emergency Medical Condition as defined by Florida Statute 395.002. A patient’s medical coverage can increase to $10,000 if they are found to be suffering from an Emergency Medical Condition.
