Ely Concrete Construction was founded in 2011 by our Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Sean P. Ely, and $8,000 in capital. Since that time, Ely Concrete has grown to be the second largest commercial concrete construction firm in the Southeast. We proudly employ over 200 full-time field personnel and over 30 full-time managers and support staff. Our geographical reach ranges from Texas to Georgia and Florida to Virginia, while working with the largest general contractors, developers and brands in the nation. The acquisition combined the dynamic and innovative management team of Ely Concrete with the 20+ years of Lee & Ryan’s experience and proven leadership in the commercial concrete construction industry. With more than 1,000 projects completed in the commercial, industrial, civil, and institutional construction sectors, and revenues exceeding $25M in 2013 (and equivalent projections for 2014), Lee & Ryan provided the additional resources needed to meet the increasing demand for Ely Concrete’s services with its strong repeat-client base. Since its inception, Ely Concrete has built a strong and diversified portfolio in the commercial, sports and entertainment, institutional, and industrial construction sectors. As a result of the acquisition, the combined portfolio now also provides a solid track-record in medical, multi-family and commercial projects, including multiple high-profile mid-rise and high-rise projects throughout the Southeast US. Financially, Ely Concrete maintains a strong relationship with our banking and bonding partners through a $3M discretionary line of credit and a $10M+/$45M+ bonding capacity. Our financial partners have been an integral component in allowing us to grow to a $60M+ company while only being in our fourth year of operations.
