About ElderSource Institute
ElderSource Institute provides caregiver training, professional training, education and resources for adults age 50 and older, their caregivers, professionals who serve older adults, as well as adults who care about their own aging.
At ElderSource Institute, we Engage, Educate, and Empower.
Formed in 2015, ElderSource Institute recognized there is a need for adults to age better and a need for professionals to become better prepared to serve the growing population of older adults. To promote improved health, dignity and independence, we continue to create and implement educational and training programs and provide resources that empower and enhance the lives of older adults living in Baker, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Nassau, St. Johns and Volusia counties.
ElderSource Institute is the sister company of ElderSource, the only state accredited Area Agency on Aging (AAA) and Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) serving seven counties in Northeast Florida. As an Area Agency on Aging, ElderSource is charged with identifying the needs of older adults and their caregivers and contracting with local providers to deliver home and community based services to address those needs.
ElderSource provides the oversight and stewardship of those contracts and funds. As an Aging and Disability Resource Center, ElderSource, provides a “one-stop-shop” to assist older adults and adults with disabilities age 18 and older with information and access to the many services, programs, and agencies that are available, including state public assistance services, long term care, Medicaid, food stamps, and private-pay options. By delivering an improved and holistic care experience, ElderSource promotes a healthier population, while actually reducing per capita health care costs.
