Edd Helms, Jr. Our air conditioning company was founded in 1952 as McDonald Air Conditioning by Frank McDonald, Jr. and was acquired in 1994 by Edd Helms Inc. We Sell and Service All Major Brands Our most impressive credentials are our thousands of satisfied customers with air conditioning systems ranging from 1 Ton to over 1,000 Tons. In addition to providing services to residential customers, the largest portion of our business comes from our commercial accounts which include Florida Power & Light, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Dave & Busters, Bimini Big Game Club, and many more Our Sales and Engineering staff members are experienced professionals. Most are college graduates, with more than 20 years experience in the construction industry. Others have progressed through the air conditioning trade and demonstrated a proficiency with selecting the best solutions for residential and commercial customers. To keep abreast of the rapidly changing technologies in the air conditioning industry our senior staff members are members of ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers). We are members of the Mechanical Contractors of America (MCA) and the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA). Our local civic memberships include the Beacon Council, and the Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce.
