Ken Doucette has had a wide ranging career in aviation which brings a unique perspective to the qualifications of Eagle Aviation Services.
Ken joined the U.S. Army in 1969 and was commissioned as an Army officer. He received his wings as a helicopter pilot and, based on his experience and safety record, was awarded the wings of a Master Army Aviator. His army career took him to posts throughout the world. He retired as a Lt. Colonel in 1991.
During his tenure as Chief Flight Instructor at ERAU, Ken was involved in the investigation of all of the aircraft accidents and incidents which occurred at the University. During these investigations, Ken provided probable cause reports to the Board of the University.
With aviation being Ken’s passion, he wants to be as close as possible to all things aviation, including his living environment. For more than a decade, Ken and his wife have lived in a unique fly-in community called Spruce Creek Fly In. Spruce Creek (7fl6) is a private airport, which observes the FAR’s as well as local rules to help maintain a safe and friendly atmosphere for all in the community.
