Ward, Inc. in 1974 as the first automated fuel management company and since then has been instrumental in leading Ward to become the leading fleet fuel management company in North America. After graduating from Texas A & M University, Mr. Ward joined the United States Air Force as a pilot. Before founding Ward, he worked for Johnson Controls in San Antonio and then as branch manager in El Paso, Texas. Mr. Ward also founded an air conditioning and heating maintenance company for commercial buildings and a controls division for new construction in the commercial sector. After graduation from the University of Texas, Mr. Ward served as an officer in the United States Army. Before joining Ward in 1980, he was President of the American Bank of Commerce in Victoria, Texas. Mr. Ward has been critical in refining the accounting systems and processes and keeping the company’s finances in order. Since 1989, Markay has provided Ward with critical leadership in several strategic Ward business areas including software development, contracts, customer service and training. She has been instrumental in developing numerous internal initiatives which have directly contributed to Ward’s growth. After graduating from the University of Texas in Austin, Markay worked with several companies in human resources, accounting and inside sales. Bob has been with Ward since 2007 and developed our innovative go-to-market strategies and successfully moving Ward to a full service technical solution provider. Prior to Ward, he held leadership positions in technology companies such as Siemens, Enron, and Daniel Flow Products. He has been a guest instructor at The Appalachian Gas Measurement School, presenting papers on Automated Metering Systems, Hydrocarbon Flow Computers, Measurement System Integration Philosophy. Bob attended Mohawk Valley Community College, CCAF, Middlesex County College, Rutgers, and Kean College in New Jersey. Russ has more than nine years of experience in the Fuel Management Industry with an East Coast manufacture as Regional Sales Manager, and most recently Sales Director. He was a business owner for over 18 years, and VP of Sales and Marketing for a large privately held lubricants company in Southern California. Russ understands the needs of this industry and has managed high performance sales teams and created winning strategies to meet and exceed company goals. During his tenure in the oil industry, he has worked with major suppliers such as Ford Motor Company, Conoco Philips, CITGO, Castrol and many others. Russ has also overseen a sales team that was responsible for managing and servicing over 650 accounts throughout Southern California and whose customer base consisted of large vehicle fleets such as new car dealerships, quick lubes, trucking fleets, bus fleets, rental car fleets, change stores (Sears, Camping World, Jiffy Lubes), and county and city fleets. Kelley joined Ward in 2011 and is responsible for coordinating all inventory, logistics and supply chain activities. She ensures quality and timeliness with Ward product deliveries and supervises general administration activities within Ward. Kelley has been a supply chain professional with manufacturing facilities and operations since 2000. Mike was instrumental in leading Ward’s marketing, branding, and business development activities when he joined Ward in 2007 as Director of Marketing. He has extensive Fortune 500 sales, marketing, and business development experience in delivering triple-digit profit & revenue returns. His global acumen includes the appointment as the first European Marketing Manager for a global Fortune 200 conglomerate, and has been a featured blogger for the Automotive Fleet/Government Fleet since 2010, and has presented on GPS and Fuel Management technologies at local, state, and national conferences. Mike is involved in numerous community activities including the United Way, March of Dimes, San Antonio Sports, and the Valero Open. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Art in Business Economics and a Master of Business Administration.
