Finding overgrown cemeteries with long passed pioneers, pictographs and petroglyphs from ancient peoples, ghost towns of faded abandoned buildings, old mining sites deep in the back country, collapsing adobe ranches or sod roof dirt floor farmer cabins can create thoughts of wonder about the people and their lives that used live on the hope that the minerals in the rock, toiling in dirt, or raising cattle in desolate places will provide them a good life of their own. This site is dedicated to those places where we can experience the solitude being off the beaten path and appreciate the natural surroundings and the deep history in areas of the old west while we travel the dusty trails to find them.
