She spends her spare time with her family and working on mission projects with her church. She has been recognized as the Volunteer of the Year for Polk County Youth For Christ and has served on the board of Girls Inc. of Winter Haven, Drug Prevention Resource Center, and on the Missions Committee of the Ridge Baptist Association.
