DRUG SWEEPER LLC, Port Saint Lucie

Drug Sweeper is a K9 drug detection service. Our dogs are trained and certified to locate a variety of street drugs and prescription medications. When our dogs find drugs they signal by sitting down. The drug epidemic is growing everyday and the consequences of addiction can be fatal. Detection and intervention are pivotal to helping a loved one overcome their addiction. Drug Sweeper combines years of experience and specialized services to help addicts and their families more forward towards a life of recovery and sobriety. Drug Sweeper is a family owned and operated business. Our owners, Bella and Paul, have both worked in the field of addiction for many years. They understand how to help and assist addicts and their loved ones into the recovery process. With Drug Sweeper, Bella and Paul hope to help as many people as possible and help put an end the drug epidemic that is harming and killing so many people. Our trained dogs can search an area for drugs and paraphernalia. If drugs or items containing drug residue, such as needles and pipes, are located they can be removed. Whether searching your home, place of work or even a school, Drug Sweeper provides peace of mind and safety. Our team has the capability to test any drugs that are found to confirm the type of substance on the spot. Drug Sweeper also offers intervention services. Our trained team can offer the structure and support to lead an intervention. A lot of planning and organization goes into coordinating a successful intervention, and our team will be there to help you every step of the way. Drug Sweeper K9s are trained to detect almost any environment including: Bella is a Certified Drug and Alcohol Interventionist, Family Support Specialist and a successful businesswoman. Bella has owned and operated her own recovery homes and knew there was a much greater purpose as to why she stepped into this industry, but could not quite determine that purpose at the time. Having seen far too much relapse and death Bella wanted to make a more positive impact in the community. She knew there was so much more she could do because of her love and drive for aiding individuals and families in need of help. Bella knew that she and her husband, Paul, could create something that would have a positive impact in the treatment industry in South Florida. As a co-founder of Drug Sweeper, Bella wants to not only help people and families in Florida, but also the nation to combat the drug epidemic that is killing people every day. She works endless hours helping those in need. Many young men and women have benefitted from her love and compassion and straightforward, no nonsense attitude. Bella’s approach has made it possible for many people to become sober and productive members of society again. Bella loves working with K9s and believes that Drug Sweeper will have a huge impact on combating this nationwide epidemic. Paul retired from the government after serving 22 years and moved to south Florida, where you can find him walking the beach talking to others about recovery or at a coffee house or in the comforts of his own home where Paul and his wife Bella live with Yogi. Paul is known for his toughness as well as his compassion, and he is not afraid to walk into any situation in order to help someone in need. Paul continues to hop on a plane or drive where he needs to go when he is called to do interventions. He has helped people from all walks of life, from executives, professional athletes, health care professionals, as well as law enforcement personnel and even teenagers all across the country. His passion and dedication for helping people has resulted in thousands seeking detox and treatment over 25 years of working in the field. Often when someone battling addiction decides to enter rehab or treatment, they leave drugs hidden. When they complete their program and return home the odds of relapse are great due to their hidden stash. Having owned treatment centers and worked in various centers across the country, Paul understands the benefit of removing drugs and paraphernalia. He came to realize how he and Bella with Yogi’s help could help people at the ground level. Paul and Yogi completed their training and became certified at International K9 College. Paul believes the service that Drug Sweeper will provide will not only save lives, but also help secure drug-free environments everywhere. As Paul says, “What is invisible, we will find.” Yogi is one of five German shepherd puppies in his litter. Yogi’s parents, Hunter and Jessie, are pure bred German shepherds certified through the American Kennel Club (AKC). Faith, Yogi’s breeder, donated Yogi to Capital K9 Association, a non profit 501c3 based in New Jersey that provides ballistic vests to law enforcement K9s. Eddie Rolon, a K9 trainer based in New Jersey and part of Capital K9 picked Yogi up for Drug Sweeper after speaking to Bella and Paul’s daughter Chellsea, about their need for a German shepherd. Eddie began developing Yogi’s obedience and his drive for his journey for drug detection work in South Florida. As Eddie said, “Yogi is going to be perfect for drug detection.” In March 2017 Paul flew to New Jersey and stayed for several days to transition Yogi over from Eddie. Paul and Yogi drove back to South Florida in the K9 truck Yogi grew up in and Drug Sweeper purchased. Paul talks about the drive with Yogi that he drove straight through, as truly exciting and the start to a new chapter. Paul says he couldn’t believe how incredible Yogi was on their 19-hour drive. Once arriving in Florida Yogi took a few days to settle into Bella and Paul’s home. Yogi and Paul’s Drug Sweeper journey started together when they enrolled in school in March 2017. In June of that year Yogi and Paul enrolled in International K9 College where Paul and Yogi met retired Palm Beach Sheriff LT Robert Anderson, the best man possible to take Drug Sweeper to the next level. Bob has a highly decorated background and wealth of knowledge training and working with professional dogs. He is also an incredible human being. Bob is a Level III Nation Certified Police Dog Trainer and a National Certified Judge/Chief Judge over numerous trials all over the U.S.
