Dreamward Travel, Inc. was selected 'Lakeland's Small Business of the Month' by the Lakeland Area Chamber of Commerce in January, 2009. Living in such diverse places as Germany, France, Spain and Mexico, Maria recalls always being extremely interested in the travel industry.  Upon graduating at the top of her class from A.C.T. Travel Academy in 1989, Maria has gone on to obtain countless certifications including, but not limited to, becoming certified through the Institute of Certified Travel Agents, and achieving the status of an Australian Destination Specialist, a Scandinavian Travel Expert, and a Holland Destination Specialist.  She is an Accredited Cruise Counselor, a Master Cruise Counselor, and is working on her Elite Cruise Counselor certificate.  Maria has also taught the travel agent course at the Pasco-Hernando Community College, Spring Hill campus.  Maria is an active member of the Greater Lakeland Area Chamber of Commerce, the National Association of Women Business Owners, Suncoast Travel Industry Association, and the Institute of Certified Travel Agents.
