We are from Ohio and spend the winters in Lakeland. I came down in January and had a pain in my left hip. I got so I couldn't walk without a cane. My daughter found Dr. Mary Nelle James Dotson. After several visits, I was able to walk without my cane and haven't had to use it since, nor have I needed to take pain medicine. Before coming to Dr. Dotson, I had chronic headaches and neck aches from stress and tension. I also had sporadic nerve pain in my leg. Then following a car accident in October 2011, the nerve pain in my leg became excruciating and I began to experience back pain. Dr. Dotson has been amazing and has not only helped to relieve my pain but has been trying to find the underlying causes as to why it began and why it became excruciating. She discussed nutrition and helped me adjust my dietary habits which helped eliminate some underlying causes. My overall experience was excellent. I felt welcome each and every time I entered the office. I recommend Dr. James to anyone who is looking or even suggests possibly going to a chiropractor. My husband was not "happy" I was going to a Chiropractor, but is now very happy I went and wants me to continue maintenance care.
