Started in the 1960's by Arie Donkersloot Sr who brought his Dutch experience on harsh marine environments with him when he emigrated to the U.S. from his native Holland in the 1950's. The company began with Arie's technical training and practical experience in mechanical systems and construction techniques. Equally important, he brought with him his positive "can do" attitude combined with his unique creative abilities. His sons joined their father in the 1970's to form the family construction company. In 1989, the company incorporated in Michigan as with Arie Donkersloot Jr being named President and Ronald Donkersloot Vice President. Together the second and third generation continue the company's tradition of innovation and quality workmanship on all their projects. The company continues to expand their capabilities in the marine construction industry. In 1989 they added a custom built, innovative 120 foot work vessel, the M/V Miss Jamie Lynn, to support their activities has received several awards in recognition of their outstanding work product (see examples on the 'reference projects' page). The tradition, however, has continued. With many awards and innovative experience, the company continues to provide landowners with the peace of mind they value in keeping their property safe.
