Dogwood Racing LLC was formed in January of 2009, but our roots date back to the mid 1990's when the drag racing bug bit me. I started like most of us riding my 600cc sportbike to the local track for test and tune sessions. I began to get a little more serious about bracket racing in 1994 with my new Suzuki RF900. I wound up owning two RFs eventually, one normally aspirated and the other turbo charged. I built the normally aspirated RF from 937cc up to 1147cc with good cams, ported head and Keihin flatslides. I earned my first Orlando Speed world Track Championship on that bike in 2001. The turbo bike changed everything though. The never ending pull of the turbo in the 1/4 mile is something that still drives me today.  From 2011 to 2015 I had a ton of fun piloting a small tire turbo charged Hayabusa. I worked at MPS at the time and Dan Rudd was instrumental in helping set up the Holley Dominator EFI system which controlled virtually everything. I achieved my personal best ET and MPH on this bike at The Manufacturers Cup in Pro Open with 7.57 and 183.5mph. I also won my 5th and 6th Orlando Speed World Track Championships during this time, but my best memories are during the 2013 Gatornationals. I was able to participate in the NHRA Summit Race of Champions held during the big event!  I turned the boost up and ran a bunch of sloppy 4.90's @ 148 into the semi final round! This bike started as a bare bones C&W chassis, from there I fabbed a ton of items - wheelie bars, fuel cell, seat rails, body mounts, front clip etc, etc!  Currently I am staying very busy building a variety of products for the drag racing community. Fuel systems, subframes, front clips, staging discs and engine brackets are just a slice of my work. Customers are always coming to me with ideas they are trying to turn into reality.
