In September 2011, Sherri Cappabianca and Toby Gass christened Rocky’s Retreat Canine Health & Fitness Center, their 7000 square foot state of the art facility in Orlando. Here you will find a comprehensive array of services that include hydrotherapy in Florida’s only indoor pool, massage, and more that provide the latest non-invasive therapeutic techniques to help your dog either renew or maintain health. Rocky’s Retreat also offers canine weight loss and fitness programs, plus overnight boarding and dog daycare in an intimate and supportive setting, where your dog will thrive. Toby started her business as a canine massage practitioner in 2006 after completing her first canine massage certification. Her practice was located in northern New Jersey where she lived until moving to Orlando. Toby and Sherri met at an acupressure class in 2007 and quickly became friends. In 2008, they took another class together, realized they had the same passion and dream, and decided to partner to bring the dream to life. In 2009, Toby resigned her management position in the financial services industry, sold her house and moved to Orlando where she and Sherri built Rocky’s Retreat Canine Health & Fitness Center. To this day, because of her reputation, she still receives regular inquiries requesting her services in the New Jersey/New York metro area. We have a 7000 square foot indoor/outdoor state of the art facility that looks and feels more like a home. We have Florida’s only climate controlled indoor pool, that is sanitized with ozone, so there are no harmful effects of chlorine. Our building is handicapped accessible for both dog and human, provides adequate parking, and has an inviting reception area that provides a comfortable setting to relax prior to your appointment. Our primary sanitation is provided by a state of the art ozone system, which is not only completely safe for your dog but provides therapeutic benefits for a dog’s skin. We then use an advanced automated system that puts an extremely small amount of chlorine in the pool (100 times less than is in your drinking water) to kill any residual bacteria that may be present. After exhaustive research, we determined that this combination is the best for the health and safety of your dog. We also have an automated pH system that continually monitors pH to ensure proper balance for each dog. We are members of International Association of Animal Massage and Bodywork (IAAMB) and Association of Canine Water Therapy (ACWT).
