Mr. Watson has been involved in the music industry for over thirty years. He is an award winning songwriter, Billboard charting record producer and engineer, a long-time member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences and a frequent panelist at the Southeastern Entertainment Law Conference. For the past 17 years, Mark has been the president of the independent record label and music publishing firm, DM Records, Inc. The DM catalog consists of over 5,000 masters and publishing rights including one of the biggest independent singles in the history of pop music, “Whoomp! (There It Is)”. Mark earned his Masters Degree in Business Administration- Entrepreneurship from the University of Florida.
