Prior to his return to Puerto Rico, Dr. Nadal established himself in Miami, Florida where he practiced for 18 years. While there, he participated in various surgical missions to volunteer his services in the repair of cleft lip and palate deformities in rural Ipiales, Colombia. He served as chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Mercy Hospital in Miami from 1994 until 1997 and president of the Miami Society of Plastic Surgeons in 1996.
