Brief DeMert Brands, Inc. History Having already been established in the beauty business as Nature’s Therapy, a company known for the brand Professionäl – which targeted the market’s need for high quality, reasonably priced salon quality hair care goods in a retail setting – Rocky and Bethany Pagliarulo purchased the trademarks for DeMert and Dougherty in 2000. Being industry veterans who recognized DeMert Brands’ Nail Enamel Dryer as number one in the industry, they simplified the name to DeMert Brands and continued developing existing business, expanding distribution and adding goods to extend product lines. In 2005, the purchase of Robert’s Research Laboratories continued to extend reach to consumers by incorporation of product lines Gefden, Hi Pro Pac and a line of highly popular skincare gels. Now, with a solid foundation in both the professional beauty and retail businesses, the road to launching new brands and continuing to broaden reach with existing brands was paved. DeMert Brands, now considered a legacy brand by the professional beauty industry (Beauty Store Business, 2012), has been around for over 50 years. Including those mentioned above, DeMert Brands creates and maintains over 125 products within 12 product lines. At DeMert Brands the quality of our goods is truly our number one priority.
