About Defender Fire Service Defender Fire Service is a family owned and operated company located in Sarasota, Fl. We offer a local, cost effective alternative to our corporate out of town competitors. At Defender, we do everything by the book. Fire protection and life safety are not like other industries where anything goes. Our whole business is based upon the rules and guidelines set forth by the NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), the AFSA (American Fire Sprinkler Association), and the local AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction). We are proud members of both the NFPA and AFSA. Our report card is your safety. Fires can happen to anybody, at any time. We are never mentally ready for them, but with our help you We do everything by the book, and we can show you in the book should there ever be any questions. We are members of the NFPA and the AFSA and all tasks performed are done in compliance with those structures. We work closely with the local Fire Marshal and the inspectors.
