As a result, DeAngelo has established itself as a leader in affordable housing. Company History Established in 1996, DeAngelo Development, Inc. was founded by Willie J. McNair. After graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in Building and Construction, Willie worked for larger construction firms Centex Rooney (commercial), M.W. Kellogg and Pulte Home Corp. (residential). After many years of  learning from these larger corporations, he took his knowledge and started DeAngelo Development. Robert McNair joined the company in 1997 and the two brothers set their sights on creating a residential construction company which would rival the larger companies in quality and price. With the intent of creating affordable homes with the same quality of build as the larger companies produced, DeAngelo quickly became a leader in South Florida affordable housing. DeAngelo Development has won several awards for design and has maintained the expectation of high-quality construction. As the company moves forward, its primary goal is to continue developing new homes for the South Florida residential market as well as creating a larger footprint in the commercial construction market. DeAngelo Development, Inc. continues its goal of building the future. DeAngelo Development, Inc. Founder DeAngelo Development, Inc. was founded by Willie McNair. He was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, FL. After graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in Building and Construction, he went to work for Centex Rooney. Soon after he was recruited to work for M.W. Kellogg in Texas on the construction of industrial oil facilities. He returned to South Florida when an opportunity arose with Pulte Home Corporation building local home communities. It was in the building of communities where Willie discovered his calling for building new homes. After several years with Pulte, Willie decided to take a leap of faith and start his own construction company. With a dedication to high quality construction at affordable prices, he set forward with a mandate of providing beautiful homes to communities in need of revitalization. He was personally hands on in the design process insisting on quality over profit. He took great pride in providing homes equivalent to higher end neighborhoods at prices the average person could afford. Willie built the company's reputation on high quality construction matched with beautiful designs. To this day, many of the homeowners who bought the first homes built, speak highly of their experiences.  Willie took great pride in every aspect of construction and treated the homes created with the same regards he did in the creation of his own personal homes. Willie passed away suddenly at the young age of 48 years old. He leaves behind a legacy of creativity , high standards of craftsmanship and goodwill that DeAngelo Development, Inc. continues to maintain. His leadership and kindness will be missed by all who have been fortunate to know and work with him.
