John L. Metzger, the present owner, purchased the bridal shop in 1997. After a year of the Name Florida Formal Wear, since their were 8 stores affiliated in Florida, John changed the name to John's Bridal and moved to the Holly Hill area and pretty much stayed on Ridgewood Avenue for over 15 years until the move to Beville Road August 1, 2014. Since out of town people want to get married in Daytona Beach for their destination wedding, in 2014, John started operating the tuxedo division as Daytona Tuxedos.
