David A. Murphy is the Broker/Owner of the Murphys Realtors, Inc., a third generation family business serving the Greater Northampton area. Licensed as a real estate broker 1979, David has been an active real estate professional for thirty seven years. The real estate designations David holds are recognized by the National Association of Realtors®. David is licensed as a Massachusetts Certified Residential Appraiser. David has operated Northampton Appraisal Associates since 1980. Northampton Appraisal provides real estate appraisal to mortgage lenders and other professionals in the Greater Northampton area. First appointed by Governor Weld, David served for eight years as a member of the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Real Estate Appraisers and was twice elected Chairman of the Board of Registration. David also spent eight years as a member of the Board of Assessors for the City of Northampton, and has been designated a Massachusetts Accredited Assessor by the Massachusetts Association of Assessing Officers.
