DARKTOOTH FILMS, LLC., Port Saint Lucie

The most important part of producing a film project is knowing what your final purpose is for the project once it's complete. Ask yourself, what is the intention of the final product (Commercial, You Tube, Website)? Once that is determined , then we can proceed with a pre-production plan that will be designed and structured with creativity and excitement to meet your end result. I will assist you in preparing and discussing exactly what is best for your project from the storyline to the set design; from the talent to the camera's eye. Your goal is to present to me your awesome concept idea. My goal is to help you produce something better than you have ever expected.       After directing 10 major film projects (four short films, three music videos and three documentaries) and many, many other film projects, I clearly understand the effort it takes to keep the vision of the story in mind when shooting. If you're new to the film process of your business, there's one thing you'll have to get use to and that is 'there's no such thing as a fast film shoot!' There is always a need for patience, direction and a quick change of plans when things unexpectedly change or occur on set such as noise, rain, late talent, etc. Also, if  there is an unexpected creative shot that I see while on set, I'll make time to go off the scheduled plan to get that shot. This is normal and exciting to find. And it's one of the reasons why the film shoot should be planned out so that you can expect the unexpected such as delays or a creative shot. So, if I'm wearing the directors hat for your project, I will always focus on your original vision, add some of my ideas and edit them together to create an awesome final film, video or promo for you and your audience. Shoot to Edit! That's the key when preparing any type of film project. I am currently an editor using Adobe Premiere but have edited many projects with Final Cut Pro. Editing is where all the magic unfolds. And if the scope of work was filmed as scheduled then the editing process will be much easier. I don't ever recommend to just 'random shoot' a project to get some kind of story out of it. That never works and a lot of time it's a waste production in the field and in the edit suite when doing so. I'm one that believes that if the project is well thought out, then the editing magic just kind of happens on it's own with a few creative add-ons of my own when I'm zoned deep in the edit mode. I am very passionate with the filmmaking process. Put a camera in my hand whether it's a broadcast camera or an iPhone, I'm gonna try and get what I call a 'money shot'. I thrive on coming up with creative or even outrageously amazing shots. But in saying all that, there is an integrity needed when shooting and that is to stay true to the storyline when filming. As a cameraman, I always look for the best framed shot and am always rearranging either the camera's location or something in the set design to get that best possible shot within the limits of what was given. I'm experienced with the Canon 60D, 7D and 5D, Panasonic HVX 200, Sony NEX FS-100 and more. Let's shoot your project!!
