Perhaps searching can help. also known as “Ricky”, is co-owner and dance instructor at Dancing Through Life and has had a life dedicated to his passion of dance and people. His dance journey began with exploring different styles of Latin dance at the age of 12, and that quickly transitioned into a love for Hip Hop and break dancing as well. He created his own style by combining all of the different styles of dance he loved into one. In 2010, his future shifted from a dedication to dance to a dedication to his country, as he was deployed to Iraq. Even then, he continued to dance by showing his fellow soldiers how to break it down on their down time. Upon his return from deployment, he established a new life in South Florida and reignited his passion for dance. Since then, he has continued to find new ways of innovating himself as a dancer and sharing that with others. He has taught in various locations across South Florida as well as performed in congresses and local venues with his dance partner. He has now become a top salsa instructor and dancer in the South Florida region and has become known for his smooth styling as well as his fun comedic teaching methods. has been performing since the age of 10, with lead roles in many musical theatre productions. His early beginnings in the theatre led him to television where he landed commercials for Ovaltine, K-Mart, Radio Shack, and Raid, among many others. Justin has trained and worked with some of the top choreographers from around the world including Chris Jones, Shane Sparks, Brian Friedman, Mia Michaels, Chris Judd, and Darren Henson. His love for performing has allowed him the opportunity to perform on the Today show, BET, Telemundo, Miami Dolphin Games, Heat Games, and the Superbowl. Justin also known as “Yessy,” started falling in love with the art of dance in high school by taking electives such as modern, jazz, ballet and hip hop for her junior and senior year. The following year after graduating, she was asked to participate in the “alumni division” of a Latin Dance Competition that her high school was competing in. She decided to give it a try and won first place 3 years in a row. Since then, her and Latin dance have been inseparable. Born and raised in Maryland, she joined a semipro Latin dance team in DC called “Cazike.” She performed at congresses and dance events across the “DMV” and it was then she realized just how in love with dance she was. She decided to dedicate all of her free time to Latin dance by continuing to be a part of her dance team and learning how to social dance. In September 2015 she decided it was time for a fresh start and moved hundreds of miles to South Florida. She continued her “addictionship” with dance by joining our Dancing Through Life team and she’s now embarked on her newest journey: teaching. She’s so passionate about dance and wants to spread her knowledge amongst others in hopes that it’ll bring them the happiness it brings her. Join her for class today, she looks forwards to teaching you! Charismatic, passionate, dedicated, diligent, and accountable are some of the few words to describe Kelly Johanna Ibarra. In 2016 Ms.Ibarra graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelors in Communication Arts and a minor in Hospitality Studies. Attending FIU paved many roads for Kelly, one of them, creating the FIU Latin Dance Club where she taught salsa and bachata. During her college years, Kelly danced for Miami Touch and Salsa Kings and also taught bachata for the Salsa Kings Dance Studio. Her passion for Latin music, her Latin culture, and Latin-dance hobby has sparked a fire in her to follow her dreams in working in the Latin entertainment industry. In September 2017 Kelly Johanna Ibarra graduated from Full Sail University as Valedictorian from the Entertainment Business program. Following graduate school, Kelly relocated to Miami, Florida to follow her career and love for her Latin Culture. Dancing Through Life First Time Visiting Dancing Through Life? We want to make our dance classes easy and accessible for everyone to try. If you are new to Dancing Through Life, your first class is on us! At Dancing Through Life, we take pride in encouraging our students to reach their maximum potential. In order to do so, we have created a summary of guideline requirements for each level. Our instructors and staff are happy to answer any questions or concerns you might have about your fit in a particular class. Dancing Through Life is proud to announce our collaboration with Dance Labz, the hottest dance program to come out of South Florida! Dancing Through Life + Dance Labz = The Perfect Collaboration ” This is what you hear Justin chanting over the giggles and banter of his classroom full of kids every Friday and Saturday at Dancing Through Life. When Dance Labz and Dancing Through Life teamed up, it was the perfect collaboration. It meant that every Friday night and Saturday morning, after school was out and homework was done, kids of all ages now had a permanent place to go take a class with their favorite dance instructor, mentor, and friend, Justin Trujillo. Justin’s magic resonates with young people because he takes their natural spark and energy and manifests it into dance so that they feel confident, powerful, and energetic, it’s as if any goal they set is only an eight count away. Justin teaches his students discipline, while allowing them to have fun and express themselves and their emotions. The kids interact with him and with each other, while the parents get to watch and enjoy the show or go grab a quick bite to eat during class.
