Dancing at Sea is specialized in production of Ballroom, Latin and Argentine Tango dance cruises, and is a cruise resource for special interest groups, event planners, production companies as well as private individuals. Accomplished Ballroom and Latin dancer. His training began with the Arthur Murray organization where he completed numerous pro-am competitions and exhibitions. John is a charismatic and visionary entrepreneur leader. His knowledge and passion for dancing, many years of travel experience and vast network of dance professionals and affiliates along with his professionalism and business expertise enables him to produce and manage successful upscale dance cruises. John has an extensive network in dance communities expands from South Florida to Washington, DC metro, New York City, Chicago and Los-Angeles California as well as Toronto and Montreal Canada. John is a member of USA dance and former board member of the Royal palm chapter. Diana – began dancing at an early age studying tap, jazz, ballet, and hip hop. While attending Dillard High School for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale, FL she also began teaching at various dance schools. From there Diana went on to study at New World School for the Arts in Miami. In 1998 she discovered her love for ballroom dance and for the next seven years, Diana competed in every major dance competition in the Latin division and won numerous awards, including Harvest Moon Champion, Indiana’s Professional Rising Star Champion, and most recently was a finalist in the Arthur Murray International Professional Division. In 2003, Diana and her partner finished 3rd out of 50,000 competitors on ABC Family’s Dance Fever reality show. In 2005, Diana helped institute a ballroom dance program for the Chicago Public School System inspired by the documentary Mad Hot Ballroom; today she continues on her dance journey through teaching, competing, learning, and inspiring others. Danny – A.N.A.D.T.A (Associate North American Dance Teacher’s Association) is a member of the National Dance Council of America and is owner and founder of “Dance Moves” in Fort Lauderdale Florida. Danny began his career as a ballroom dancer in Atlanta with the Fred Astaire Studio in 1982. After teaching and competing in ballroom dance, he moved to New York to become a professional performer. Shortly after arriving in New York, he joined the international touring company of the American Ballroom Theater. During his six years with American Ballroom Theater, Danny appeared on stage from Hong Kong to the Kennedy Center, performing to wide critical acclaim.. While he enjoys the recognition as a professional dancer, Danny’s greatest pleasure comes from teaching others the art and skill of dance. Allen – Holds a BFA in dance from The Ohio State University, and has danced professionally with Chi-Town Jazz Dance Chicago, and Winifred Haun and Dancers. He has performed as a guest artist with Dance for Life, Dance Theater North, Schaumburg Dance Ensemble, Evanston Dance Ensemble, Barrington Youth Dance Ensemble, and The Chicago Festival Ballet. Allen was also a guest choreographer and performer for the Joffrey Ballet in the production of “Salute to Vienna”. He is a Fellow of the Cecchetti Council of America, holding The Enrico Cecchetti Diploma Certification. In addition, Allen has extensive formal training in competitive and social Dancesport and most recently competed professionally in the American Smooth and Show dance categories. His award winning choreography is seen in both amateur and professional Dancesport competitions throughout the United States. He is currently a faculty member of the Légère Dance Center as well as the Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago, where he teaches ballet to BA and BFA Sandra – and Alexander have been dancing professionally together for the past four years. Their passion for dance is what drives them through life. As teachers, they have a strong standard for technique, artistry, and discipline and are certified by the Canadian DanceSport Federation to teach International Latin and Standard ballroom. Highlights of their career have included performing on a regular basis in theatres, festivals and private events. They also danced in several tango scenes in the Warner Brothers’ film, “Upside Down”, (starring Kirsten Dunst and Pablo Veron) As artists living their passion, they are humbled to have the chance to work every day doing what they love …dance. Alexander – and Sandra have been dancing professionally together for the past four years. Their passion for dance is what drives them through life. As teachers, they have a strong standard for technique, artistry, and discipline and are certified by the Canadian DanceSport Federation to teach International Latin and Standard ballroom. Highlights of their career have included performing on a regular basis in theatres, festivals and private events.
