CyclEvolution is owned by myself, Balarama (Bala) Almeida and my partner, Sarah Ferrer. We decided to open our own bike shop once we realized that biking was becoming more of a lifestyle than just a hobby. We were officially able to bring our dream to fruition in early September 2009 when we finally opened for business. Part of the journey to opening our doors included a life changing road trip centered around attending United Bicycle Institute where I certified my skills for the professional bike industry. The trip lasted 2 months (including UBI) and took us on a 10,000 mile road trip across the U.S. During this time we rode 500 miles through some of the most impressive scenery and challenging terrain. We camped every night, showered in rivers, rode cross-country, all-mountain, and downhill must-ride and epic trails, and met some amazing people and riders. If there was ever doubt in our minds about going through with the feat of opening this business, then that trip squashed it. We started a thread on MTBR.com prior to the trip and posted pictures and updates along the way. The feedback we received from the thread was both surprising and motivating. The only thing I can say is that an adventure like this changes you, and changes you for the better. What we are all about To further serve and support our community, we maintain IMBA National Bike Patrol certifications and Red Cross certifications to train in CPR, First Aid, and Wilderness First Aid. We are very excited to be part of this giant cycling community! CYCLEVOLUTION is the premier stop in the Delray Beach and surrounding areas for parts/bikes sales, wheel building, suspension overhaul and all other related bicycle services. We are passionate about cycling and its benefit for the community and environment. We also support the belief that it is possible to achieve health, fun, fitness, and freedom all while riding your bike. We have been assisting our customers in reaching their individual cycling goals since 2009 and we hope to continue to do this for many years to come. CYCLEVOLUTION is committed to providing all of our customers with high quality bicycle products as well as providing excellent service in a friendly atmosphere. It is our priority to hire knowledgeable, highly trained and certified mechanics that are passionate about what they do. In addition to being a dedicated bicycle retailer, CYCLEVOLUTION is actively participating in local cycling events and club activities.
