Kris Coffelt is a member of Actors Equity, Screen Actors Guild/American Federation of Artists. She is artistic director and founder of Curtain Call Playhouse, since 1996. Her expertise ranges from actress to director, and everything in between, directing and appearing in over one hundred fifty shows. She has created, implemented and taught children’s theatre programming for the past twenty years to over 3,000 students. She spent over twenty years in the “biz” in Los Angeles, before moving to South Florida. She studied with the Groundlings, Gordon Hunt, Melrose Workshop, and CBS Studios Film Industry Workshop alongside Ron Howard and many other fine professionals. Jerry has musically directed over 30 shows in South Florida as well as in his native Chicago. He joined Curtain Call Playhouse in 2008. His favorite show is always the one he is currently working on, but past favorites include Annie, Camelot, A Funny Thing..., Gypsy, and too many others to list. Jerry earned a Music Ed degree from Chicago's famed DePaul University. He has been the High Holidays Choir Director at Temple Beth Orr in Coral Springs since 1997. Jack Coffelt ( Set Designer, Office Administrator) has many talents: entrepreneur, businessman, set designer, singer, songwriter. Throughout his business career, he has created and managed businesses with his wife, Kris. He designs and builds all the sets that go on tour for CCP, and has distinguished himself many times designing these adjustable sets. He does double duty, in charge of administering finances, and taking care of the daily duties in the office. Two theater professionals, William and Karen Roach, from Curtain Call Playhouse Inc., are the instructors for either our weekly workshop, summer camp or in some cases both programs. They each have 37 years of experience in education. William is a retired Principal from Coconut Creek Elementary School and Karen is a retired Kindergarten teacher from Palm Cove Elementary. They both have been involved in all aspects of theater having been actors, directors, costumers, choreographers, technical crew, and stage managers in our children’s shows. Susan Lloyd is one of our teachers in our summer camp programs, and a performer, as well. She has performed in over nine of our productions. She is a very talented singer, teaching the children our musicals. By day, she is a school nurse. Curtain Call Playhouse Welcomes You! Our partnerships with cities and cultural centers helps us serve over 7,000 audience members a year. Appealing to both adult and family audiences, our mission is to bring the excitement of live theatre to local communities by entertaining seasoned theatre goers, as well as inspiring a new generation.
