CSnet International, Inc. was formed in 2008 to provide broadband oceanographic, metrological, seismological, and hydrographic data services to science, government and industry. To deliver these services, CSnet operates the Offshore Communications Backbone (OCB) in the Eastern Mediterranean. The OCB is an Ocean Observing System with fiber optic cable, multi-port nodes, and near-real time communications, which allows clients world-wide access to data using subsea instruments and sensors designed specifically for their needs.
