Who We Are Crown Street Films was founded in 2009 as a vehicle to produce documentary films that explore social and cultural subject matter. While we still maintain our core mission, we’ve made a smooth transition into commercials, branded content, viral media and corporate industrials for the healthcare sector. We are a passionate bunch with 20 years of combined experience in many facets of production. Working with our clients to take their ideas from conception to completion. Our Philosophy is simple. Always strive to do your best work, put your client’s interest above your own, no job is too big or too small, always be good to the people you work with and don’t forget to have fun! Crown Street Films had a busy June handling all three phases of production for Anthem’s, Simply Healthcare’s 2017/2018 marketing campaign for their Medicare Advantage products. We teamed with Coral Gables, FL based advertising agency Imagen and took their scripts from conception to completion for a series of ads featuring basketball hall of famer Magic Johnson. The ads were directed by Chad Tingle and produced by Russell Katzman. Photographer Devin Stinson joined us on day two of three to photograph the print campaign. The ads will air throughout the state of Florida in Broward, Miami-dade, Orange, Hillsboro, West Palm, and Polk Counties Crown Street Films Director Producer, Chad Tingle worked in conjunction with The Johnson Administration ‘s Director /Producer Marlon Johnson and Scholl Creative’s Director /Producer Dennis Scholl. The film was graciously funded through a grant from the Knight Foundation to celebrate Miami’s Gospel Sundays Deep City is an inspirational story that explores the early days of soul music in South Florida, the pioneers of that era and their lasting contributions to the broader American musical landscape. During mid-1960s Miami, producers Willie Clarke and Johnny Pearsall masterminded Deep City Records. Both from the mean streets of Miami, this duo honed the business and musical skills learned in college and went on to change the face of soul music in Miami, and eventually the country by creating the first black-owned record label in Florida. Deep City is a documentary that delves into the life and times of these groundbreaking producers, their label, the unique artists they spawned and the remarkable era in which they accomplished it. Crown Street Films Director Producer, Chad Tingle worked in conjunction with The Johnson Administration ‘s Director /Producer Marlon Johnson and Scholl Creative’s Director /Producer Dennis Scholl for 5 years to bring this story to life. The film world premiered at the SXSW film festival in 2014. James was a senior in high school looking forward to his last year of football when he was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. This is a portrait of the pediatric Oncology Hematology team at Broward Health and their tireless efforts to help their patients become Cancer free. Nurse Tarsha Bruce-Frederick reunites with a former patient, years after she’s been discharged from Broward Health’s Imperial Point hospital with a difficult diagnosis. The goal of the story was to demonstrate that the emotional support that nurses give to their patients is just as important as the medical care they provide on a daily basis. Broward Health and their internal communications agency Outside Eyes tasked crown Street Films with creating a series of intimate portraits of their Physicians, their most memorable patients, families and moments in their esteemed careers. Broward Health is the largest public health system in Broward County and one of the 10th largest health systems in the US. The goal was to get beyond the lab coat and scrubs, showing prospective patients what motivates these doctors and why they think Broward Health is a special place to practice medicine. Crown Street films worked with the creatives at Outside Eyes to develop the concept for the series and handled production from conception to completion in the form of set design, multi-camera production and Post Production. Crown Street Films worked directly with Croc’s in-house creative team to develop a series of branding films to highlight their fall footwear line. The films, co-directed by Devin Stinson and Shad Thompson were shot on location in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Ultimately, the films were used to sell product via Croc’s worldwide distribution channels including Europe and Asia.
