The Crossroads Yacht Club was founded 47 years ago as an organization to stimulate use of our boats, have fun, and enjoy the mature and selected fellowship of those interested in the fraternity of yachting. That description remains constant to this day. The name comes from the “crossroads” waterway in Stuart where the St. Lucie Inlet, Indian River lagoon, Intracoastal Waterway and St. Lucie River intersect. The club’s distinctive yellow and green burgee was designed with a pointed green tip with curves to represent the ocean and gulf stream with waves at the inlet; the green stripes represent the crossing of the Intracoastal Waterway and St. Lucie River. Our membership consists of congenial people who enjoy boating of all kinds. We welcome inquiries from like-minded people who would like to find out more about the Crossroads Yacht Club. The Crossroads yacht club was founded as an organization that believes in promoting the use of boats, to have fun, and enjoy the selected fellowship of those interested in the fraternity of yachting and the social interaction that such activities promote, The Crossroads Yacht Club was founded 47 years ago as an organization to stimulate use of our boats, have fun, and enjoy the mature and selected fellowship of those interested in the fraternity of yachting. That description remains constant to this day. Welcome to our club. We work to keep the Crossroads Yacht Club as an active organization of agreeable adults who like boating and all things relating to boating. We maintain a schedule of social, boating and travel events throughout winter months in the Stuart area and often host a summer event in New England. The Club gives back to the community through sponsorship of youth sailing. The Crossroads Yacht Club is good friends enjoying good times in good places. The calendar of events put on by the Crossroads Yacht Club varies from year to year, but there are traditional social events that remain on the calendar every year. We host two dinner dances every year, and a number of lunch parties to celebrate Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day and others.
