CRIMSON KEY ESTATE SALES, INC, SEBASTIAN

Selling Your Home Thank you for taking a moment to learn more about us! I feel it is very important that you feel comfortable and confident in the company you choose to help you with your familys’ estate service needs. So please relax and enjoy reading about our journey! Crimson Key estate Sales was founded by myself, Robin Burgarella, and despite being the sole proprietor, I have many members of my family assisting me with the business. I started in the antiques and collectible business over 20 years ago and as far back as I can remember, I have been going to estate sales, yard sales, auctions and flea markets. Growing up in Connecticut, my mother would go to yard sales and estate sales nearly every weekend and as a small child, I would typically be dragged along with her. Initially, it was not my favorite thing to do, but the bonding time my mother and I had finding yard sale treasures solidified my love of “the hunt” and interest and eagerness to learn the history behind every item. During these early years I was exposed to a wide variety of antique and collectibles, as well as every day household items we would purchase for our family. As a teenager I started going to yard sales, flea markets and auctions on my own and around age 17, bought my first large lot of items at an auction to resell for a profit later. This was the start of something…. I made money, real money, much easier than all the hours I put in babysitting or waiting tables and for me, it was never like work. I continued to buy and sell items until at around age 22, I landed a fantastic job with SNET (which is now AT&T) as a Sales, Advertising & Marketing Executive. My job entailed meeting with business owners to help them create an advertising package to promote their business in print, promotional and digital mediums. Although this job was rewarding both financially and educationally, it left me little time to pursue my hobby… buying and selling. After 5 years of climbing the ranks at AT&T, I decided that I needed to get back to my roots and do what I love. I bought and sold items and at the same time studied to get a real estate license. It was while I was practicing Real Estate in Connecticut that I came into the business of conducting Estate Sales. I realized that there was a need to not only sell the real estate, but the contents as well. I continued to sell Real Estate full time for Prudential Connecticut Realty and handled estate sales part time for the next five years until I moved with my husband, Cass, to California. Our move allowed my husband to be closer to his family. Once in California, I quickly got a job as a Real Estate Assistant to a busy Realtor and within 3 months, She asked me to be her partner! Coincidentally, my business partner, Leanne, also conducted Estate Sales and when I wasn’t listing and selling homes, I would assist, and eventually conduct Estate Sales for her. In no time at all, I was back doing what I truly love… and then I got pregnant. al Estate career. I soon found that I just couldn’t bear to put her in day care, and Real Estate just needed more time than I was willing to give and be away from my daughter. It did not take long at all though until I started getting that itch to get back into buying, selling and picking. When Salem was about 5 months old I opened a retail store called Fate’s Finds Thrift and Gift with a partner. We sold new and used household items, jewelry, antiques and consignments and it allowed me the freedom to work part time and bring my baby to work with me. After 5 years in California, I made the difficult decision to move my family to Florida. I had been visiting my parents in Sebastian, Florida several times a year for nearly a decade but when my father had a triple bypass, my priorities quickly changed. I knew that I would never be able to forgive myself if something happened to my father and I didn’t take every opportunity to spend as much time as I possibly could with him. Although I had to sell my house and my businesses, having a new start in Florida has allowed me to continue doing what I love. I am super passionate about what I do and handle every estate sale and real estate transaction, no matter how big or small, with the same quality of service and in the most professional manner. I have systems in place to ensure things run smooth and seamless. I have the best, most trustworthy staff I could ask for–-my family! My husband and mother assist me with most sales and even my father will pitch in on occasion! I truly enjoy sharing my love of treasure hunting with everyone, we work hard making sure everything is perfect for our sales, but we make sure that we all have fun too! I have been blessed to be able to find work that I love, and to make a living helping others. I have met some of the most amazing, wonderful people along the way, making the journey that much sweeter! I hope that you enjoyed learning a little bit about me and my long history in buying and selling used treasures! Selling Your Home Thank you for taking a moment to learn more about us!
