Welcome to Creative Theater Workshop, Inc., affectionately known as CTW, where we bring the magic of theater into the heart of Fort Myers, Florida. Since spring 2006, our founder Michelle Hamstra has been at the helm, transforming a simple idea into one of Southwest Florida's standout children’s theater groups. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to educate, entertain, and enrich our community through the performing arts. CTW offers an exciting array of workshops on topics like mime, Fosse style dance, ballroom styles, stage combat, theater technology, and audition techniques, all taught by both dedicated staff members and enthusiastic guest artists from around town. These classes aren't just about learning-they're opportunities for young performers to gain real-world experience, hone their craft, and build confidence. We understand that every voice is unique, which is why we encourage our students to participate in voice lessons as they prepare for auditions. While having a vocal coach isn't mandatory, we strongly recommend it to fine-tune both the technical skills and expression needed for performance excellence. During auditions, participants get a chance not just to sing, but to showcase their ability to act through music-a true mark of versatility. As part of our commitment to giving back, CTW has been proudly registered as a Florida nonprofit since 2009 (File Number N09000003298) and was reinstated on October 24, 2023.
