We have so many things in common — as well as many individual interests: music, magic, missions, martial arts, ministry, movies . . . and that is just the “M’s”. With all of our varied interests, we could easily fill a library. We believe that God has created us to be who we are — and we want to use those interests and abilities to make a difference for Him. We served as missionaries in South Korea at Global Vision Christian School from August 13, 2006 till July 2013. Due to changes in the accreditation of the school, our missionary visa was no longer acceptable and no other visa was possible for us. After two and a half years, we are still waiting to see what God’s plan is for us. Dick has been serving as fill-in preacher at various churches, teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir at First Baptist Church, Stephenville, and subbing in schools. Sherry stays busy as a volunteer at church (First Baptist Church, Stephenville) where she has been serving as “Church Hostess” (or chair of the Hospitality Committee) and recently added a new position as WMU Director (for those who aren’t Baptist, WMU focuses on promoting and supporting missions). She has been writing (5 published books since returning from Korea) and is also doing some speaking and training. You can check out her books on Waiting is hard!! We are trying to be faithful in service where we are as we wait for the next direction from the Lord.
