In 1983, Pete acquired his contractors license and started Crandall Construction. He has done an extensive variety of work over the years, enjoying the challenge of trying innovative building products and practices. He has been particularly interested in using natural and recycled building materials, building his first rammed earth home in 1998. His years of experience with alternative and sustainable construction methods has dovetailed nicely with the relatively recent mainstream public interest in green building.
