But I can’t imagine doing anything else now. I’ve held many administrative roles across various industries such as communications, legal, video production, and technology. Each employment challenged me and taught me something new. But it wasn’t the industries I found intriguing, it was the daily work I was asked to do. Serving as a source of support is important to me, and being a virtual assistant has given me such a broad, yet direct, way of doing just that. I know the support I provide makes a difference. It’s easy to see how meaningful my work is when a client confides how relieved they are to be able to assign a time-consuming task or find they’re able to handle a sudden emergency with less interruption to their business. My job is to give my clients more time to increase their billable work, stress less about taking time off, and boost their business. ! Even if I can’t help regularly, I’m happy to help with small projects or give advice on working with an assistant.
