Connection Coalition, Inc., formerly known as Yoga Gangsters, Inc., is a passionate non-profit based in Miami, Florida. It's an organization determined to make a real difference for young people dealing with big challenges like trauma and poverty. Their mission? To uplift youth by tackling educational barriers, addiction, violence, the consequences these realities bring such as incarceration or homelessness, as well as teen pregnancy. Operating primarily from Orlando, Connection Coalition was founded back in 2010 but officially incorporated on July 23rd of that year. With offices located at 1202 Seneca Falls Drive, it has been on a relentless mission to create positive change since 2012 when it first expanded its reach into Arizona under the visionary leadership of founder KG. Here's how they do it: Over six weeks, structured programs guide youth through sessions that build trust and resilience. By meeting consistently in designated spaces-courtesy of generous partner organizations-the connection between instructors, volunteers, and participants deepens, promoting integrity and commitment. These impactful gatherings are held at diverse locations like Boys & Girls Clubs, LGBTQ+ youth centers, alternative schools, shelter facilities, and more. Recent developments include preparing to launch an ambitious program at the Maricopa County Juvenile Justice Center, adding to their impressive array of service sites across Arizona. Under Terri Cooper's presidency and Victoria Albury's management, the organization has seen significant growth and remains devoted to making its empowering teachings as accessible as possible. The team includes a diverse group of passionate leaders. Daphne Sullivan, for instance, is not only the Marketing Director and Social Media Manager for The Yoga Joint studios but also plays roles in Connection Coalition’s growth on multiple fronts.
