Compass Publishing, the parent company of Compass Training Center has been providing top notch training to the real estate and mortgage industry in Florida since 2002. Our founders, Tim & Andy (Andrea) Tolbert saw a hole in the marketplace for real-world education for both new and experienced industry professionals and formed Compass Training Center which has partnered with industry leaders to bring you the very best in first entered the lending industry in 1995, and in 1998 her husband, Tim joined her in the industry. That same year Andy got her real estate license and they have been a powerhouse duo ever since. During the years that they owned Atmor Mortgage, they discovered the importance of training and systems in their business and Andy began training Realtors(r) as a means of lead generation for their loan officers. She went on to write 4 courses that were approved for CE credits for real estate licensees in Florida. After a 3 year stint as a partner in a large brokerage specializing in property management and sales, Andy & Tim decided the timing was right to finally realize their dream of opening Compass Training Centers and as they say, the rest is history! Andy loves helping small business owners see the bigger picture and the possibilities with their business. She leads the Women’s Endeavours in Business group, is on the board of the Investors Resource Center and is active with the Sanford Chamber. She is also a member of the Florida Realtors faculty and often has articles published in various real estate publications. has been a loan originator since 1998. Before that he worked in the electronics manufacturing industry, so he is definitely an analytical type which has contributed to his success in the mortgage industry; in fact, he’s often quoting underwriting guidelines back to the underwriters! He also worked for a short while as a wholesale AE where he was exposed to the other side of the industry. For the last several years he has been branch manager for a net-branch and is always glad to help someone get a deal done, even his competition!
