Come Out With Pride Orlando, Inc. Come Out With Pride, Inc. is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization inspired to make an impact in Orlando’s LGBTQ+ community. Celebrated in October, Come Out With Pride welcomes everyone from Central Florida and beyond to come together and #KeepDancingOrlando! We are dedicated to supporting our community through grants and scholarship programs. Mission As we adapt to new challenges and accomplished achievements, our mission for this year is: To encourage fellowship and support among participating businesses, professionals, individuals, and charitable pursuits in the LGBTQ+ and allied communities. To provide positive role models in the LGBTQ+ and allied communities. To provide financial support to other LGBTQ+ oriented non-profit organizations in the local area through the making of grants made possible by the proceeds from each year’s event. Come Out With Pride does not provide grants to political or activist groups. Our focus is on those organizations who might be struggling to meet their goals and those with a mission aimed at educating and assisting members of our community. Production Team Metropolitan Business Association (MBA), Central Florida’s LGBTQ+ chamber of commerce, saw the need for a Pride festival that focused on building unity and an open dialogue within the local community, as well as encouraging the rest of the country to rally by our side while we worked to influence Florida legislators to create more inclusive laws. In 2005, Come Out With Pride, Inc. (COWP) was formed as its own corporation under the MBA. This allowed the new organization to have their own board of directors and mission for the community. COWP is a 501c3 all-volunteer nonprofit organization led by a board of directors and a production team. An important mission for COWP is to give back to the community through charitable initiatives, including cash grants and scholarships as well as various partnerships with local organizations and causes. This accounted for more than $5,000 donated in 2015 and $30,000 in 2016. Come Out With Pride Facts Come Out With Pride is a 501c3 non-profit organization run entirely by a volunteer board and production team. 150,000+ attendees in 2016, making Come Out With Pride one of the largest pride events in Florida.
