Separate from a Fair Trade certification, a Fairtrade International Certification carries a FAIRTRADE Mark, which signifies that a product meets a particular list of standards. These standards are part of an internationally agreed-upon list that applies to products, rather than companies, and provides benefits to small-scale farmers and workers in developing countries, as well as to consumers and the environment.
A product’s Rainforest Alliance Certification declares that the farm or forest it is from has been successfully inspected and shown to meet environmental, economic, and social sustainability standards set by the Sustainable Agriculture Network (SAN).
Our headquarters comprises over 40,000 sq. ft. of state-of-the-art facilities which affords us the ability to house our entire operation under one roof. Our raw material storage, roasting operations, packaging facility, distribution warehouse, customer service department, sales department and accounting department all work together cohesively to create an effectual production flow from raw material to finished product.
We at CLR are owners of two plantations, wet and dry processing mills in Matagalpa, Nicaragua. At CLR Roasters we are proud owners of two coffee plantations and a wet and dry processing mill located in the high mountains of Matagalpa, Nicaragua. The plantation consist of Strictly High Grown 100% Arabica beans that are shade grown, Fair Trade Organic. We have the capabilities to process over 30 million pounds of green coffee at our processing mill on an annual basis. We have aided the farmers in that area to improve their social conditions, educational and health systems in our farms through our Youngevity Be The Change Foundation.
