Each year the Clearwater Kennel Club holds two all breed dog shows where championship points are awarded. The Clearwater Kennel Cub holds eight general membership meetings at LaQuinta, US19 North, just South of Drew St. The business meetings are often preceded with a program with specific canine subjects on various subjects. These educational programs start at 7:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month except Jan., May, Aug. and Sept. Guests are always welcome and refreshments are served. Anyone interested in becoming a member is encouraged to attend at least two meetings prior to applying for membership. Annual dues are $25. An annual Award Dinner is held in May and a Xmas party is held in December of each year. Members are partially reimbursed for cost of their awards dinner based upon number of meetings attended. Members working at the show receive a free catalog as well as breakfast and lunch. These benefits often exceeds cost of dues. For the past several years the Clearwater Kennel Club, along with other kennel clubs in area sponsors a Responsible Dog Ownership Day for interaction with the public.
